Mechanical Fitter (Drill)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Drill Fitter to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Field Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Field Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.

Providing mechanical maintenance and services

Trouble shooting and the ability to located and solve unplanned breakdowns with attention to detail and in a timely manner.

Performing preventative maintenance.

Ensure all work is performed to trade standards, following the plan and specifications, and meets desired availability targets

Maintaining our onsite maintenance systems and ensure the integrity of recorded data is compliant

Liaise with key personnel and share ideas for overall improvement outcomes

Identify, assess and control workplace hazards

To be successful in this role, you will have:

3+ Years post trade experience in a mining environment

Have previous experience working on 600t Class Excavators and Mining Drills

Able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team

Previous experience in a similar role, in an open-cut coal mine

Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Rolleston

Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment

Experience with SAP

Be proficient with SIS and able to read Hydraulic Schematics
