JOB SUMMARY

The Mechanical Engineer’s primary function is to provide complete engineering packages required to manufacture and assemble automated machinery, die sets and related press equipment. Accuracy, flexibility, and efficiency are extremely important.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following:

The individual must possess strong communication skills, efficient work habits and be self-motivated to succeed in an environment where engineering cost and schedules must be minimized for the company to be successful.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Minimal requirements for education, knowledge, and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or minimum of five years relevant experience in machine design, metal forming, tool & die design, etc.
Experienced in the practical application of engineering principles, procedures, materials, and equipment.
2D and 3D CAD proficiency (preferably Autocad and Solidworks).
Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PDM and ERP systems.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

Work Schedule generally consists of 45-50 hours per week, which may include on-call status and weekends. Additional hours may be required to ensure project schedules are met.
Occasional travel to customer locations as needed.
