Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and technical support for all mechanical works performed on site
- Implement and monitor mechanical construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, project specifications, and safety requirements
- Review contractor mechanical shop drawings in coordination with structural, architectural, and electrical disciplines
- Conduct regular site inspections and evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure quality and compliance
- Support and guide site inspectors on mechanical engineering matters and assist in resolving technical issues
- Work closely with site inspectors to maintain complete and accurate Inspection and Test Records (ITRs)
- Review site preparation activities and temporary works to verify compliance with contract documents
- Supervise mechanical installations and monitor contractor construction schedules related to MEP works
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving technical issues related to HVAC, smoke management, plumbing, firefighting, escalators, elevators, and other mechanical services
- Maintain and track mechanical defects, snags, and punch list items, ensuring timely corrective action
- Review and provide comments on testing and commissioning results for mechanical systems
- Attend project meetings, site progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of relevant site based experience on construction projects involving mechanical systems
- Extensive experience with HVAC systems, smoke management systems, plumbing, firefighting systems, escalators, and elevators
- Strong ability to interpret and execute mechanical drawings and technical documentation
- Good knowledge of site management practices, construction safety requirements, and quality control procedures

What You’ll Be Doing
