About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate mechanical works for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of water distribution networks, wastewater networks, transmission pipelines, and associated mechanical systems
- Monitor installation of pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, mechanical equipment, supports, flanges, and flexible joints
- Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, and construction documents
- Inspect and monitor delivery, storage, and installation of mechanical materials and equipment
- Supervise hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, and disinfection activities
- Prepare and submit inspection requests and maintain records of testing activities
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during all site activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in pipeline networks, pumping stations, reservoirs, valves, pumps, and mechanical installations
- Strong knowledge of hydrostatic testing, flushing, disinfection, commissioning, and construction practices

Job Purpose
- We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate all mechanical works related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipeline networks, pumping stations, reservoirs, valves, pumps, and associated mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation of water distribution networks, wastewater networks, transmission pipelines, force mains, gravity sewer lines, valve chambers, meter chambers, air valve chambers, washout chambers, and service connections.
- Monitor the installation of pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, mechanical equipment, supports, flanges, flexible joints, and associated systems.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, installation procedures, alignment requirements, flow directions, and burial depths.
- Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, and construction documents.
- Identify design conflicts, site constraints, and technical issues, and coordinate solutions with the project team and consultants.
- Support the preparation of RFIs, material take offs, and as built documentation.
- Inspect and monitor the delivery, storage, and installation of mechanical materials and equipment.
- Verify compliance with approved technical submittals, quality certifications, and project specifications.
- Reject non conforming or damaged materials when necessary.
- Supervise the installation of pumps, suction and discharge piping, non return valves, isolation valves, instrumentation, lifting systems, and other mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate closely with electrical and control teams to ensure proper integration and commissioning readiness.
- Supervise hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, and disinfection activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in pipeline networks, pumping stations, reservoirs, valves, pumps, and mechanical installations.
- Strong knowledge of hydrostatic testing, flushing, disinfection, commissioning, and construction practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience supervising pipeline and pumping station installations.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with civil, electrical, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and site management capabilities.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and monitor project progress against schedules.

Reporting Line
- The Mechanical Site Engineer will report directly to the Site Manager or Project Manager and will work closely with QA/QC Engineers, HSE Engineers, Technical Office Engineers, Consultants, Suppliers, and Subcontractors.
