Location and Schedule
- The role is based at the Alkhomra plant in Jeddah.
- The role may require three-shift work and work outside normal working hours.
Experience and Education
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least two years of work experience is required.
- The engineer must be able to work independently and collaboratively.
Job Scope
- Supervise troubleshooting of plant mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Design and manufacture mechanical systems.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with industrial mechanical systems including transmissions, drives, gears, bearings, couplings, and gearboxes.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, boilers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, motor drives, conveyors, and presses.
- Perform or support fabrication and machining operations such as drilling, grinding, and welding.
- Analyze and test new products for performance, safety, and longevity.
- Identify efficient and economical manufacturing methods while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor mechanical systems using computers and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and machinery in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance covering plant mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Collaborate with electrical troubleshooting, utilities, and technical department teams to maintain equipment reliability.
