Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking Mechanical Engineers for its Western Canadian Engineering group in Winnipeg.

Engineers support varied local, national, and international projects across healthcare, defense, industrial, transportation, municipal, federal, nuclear, and institutional sectors.

Engineering Services teams are based in Calgary, Winnipeg, and Vancouver and work through distributed project teams.

Your role

  • Perform mechanical systems design tasks for projects of varying complexity under the direction of a registered engineer.
  • Support investigations, reports, design deliverables, and construction administration activities.
  • Ensure mechanical engineering deliverables meet corporate quality, accuracy, consistency, and presentation standards.
  • Conduct safe site investigations involving travel, construction-site walking, ladder use, and inspection of mechanical systems.
  • Use AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office to prepare project deliverables.
  • Communicate client requirements and develop suitable design solutions and recommendations.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registration as an EIT or P.Eng. with a provincial engineering association and willingness to register in other provinces.
  • At least three years of relevant Mechanical Engineering consulting experience with progressive responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and relevant industry standards.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong business acumen, client-facing ability, and experience maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP designation or CAPM certification is an asset.
  • Experience in any of the listed mechanical disciplines or industries is welcomed, even if candidates do not cover every area.
