Role Overview
The Mechanical Engineer - CxA plans, coordinates, and delivers L2–L5 commissioning for assigned systems or areas.
The role balances technical delivery, documentation, stakeholder coordination, quality, compliance, and readiness for acceptance.
L2 – Installation Verification
- Lead verification of installation readiness.
- Review and approve installation checklists, ITPs, and method statements.
- Ensure installations meet commissioning entry criteria.
L3 – Individual Element
- Prepare commissioning plans and witness commissioning of individual plant and equipment items.
- Verify correct operation, settings, controls, and protections.
- Confirm stability before progression to system testing.
L4 – System Functional Testing
- Coordinate and witness system functional tests.
- Verify sequences of operation and system responses.
- Confirm compliance with design intent and operational requirements.
