Role Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer is based at the company's Chichester head office.
The role focuses on packaged fluid handling systems for the fluid handling sector.
Location and Work Pattern
- The position operates from the company's head office in Chichester.
Role Responsibilities
- Design assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Produce assembly and fabrication drawings.
- Produce bills of materials to support procurement of materials.
- Work with shop-floor fabrication and mechanical assembly teams.
- Liaise with outside suppliers and fabricators.
- Undertake other qualified duties that add value to the business.
Required Experience and Knowledge
- Experience operating SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of assembly and fabrication drawings.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and liaise with suppliers and fabricators.
- Ability to produce bills of materials for material procurement.
- Good IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office packages.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and steel structure design.
