About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of Project assigned Materials and supervise all the tests and sampling on site
- Witness all the laboratory tests and in situ tests by contractor or third party tester on the materials and prepare the samples/report for testing
- Coordinate with the Material Engineer in charge of the work to confirm approval of the work for testing and discuss areas of concern
- Perform sampling and testing in quick and efficient way to avoid undue delays to the Contractor’s operations
- Perform regular checks of delivered materials to the site for conformance with the approved source or supplier
- Get involved in quality control and quality assurance
- Assists the Materials Engineer in all activities related to review, approval, testing and acceptance of the materials used
Requirements
- At least 3 Years Diploma/Associate Degree in Civil Engineering / Geology/ Material or related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience on roads and Infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, aggregates, steel, etc.) and their relevant standards and specifications
- Ability to read working drawings, related specifications, inspection and test plans and method statements
- Must be able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports
- UAE / Dubai experience preferred
- Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Materials Inspector to join the team in Sharjah, UAE.
- The role involves performing necessary tests, checking arrived materials to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications, and inspecting all materials used on site.
What You'll Be Doing
