Responsibilities
- Conduct routine site inspections to verify that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
- Monitor daily site progress and report deviations from planned works to the Senior Works Inspector or Resident Engineer
- Ensure that construction materials and workmanship meet specified project requirements
- Review and verify material deliveries and storage for compliance with project standards
- Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to support timely completion of activities and address technical or quality related issues
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, daily reports, and other documentation required by the project
- Report safety violations or hazardous conditions and ensure prompt resolution in coordination with the HSE team
- Support the resolution of non conformances and assist with follow up inspections after corrective actions
- Participate in site meetings and inspections with consultants, contractors, and client representatives as required
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or supervision, with at least 3 years in a consultancy environment
- Prior experience on large scale infrastructure or public works projects (e.g., roads, utilities, drainage systems)
- Good understanding of construction methods, technical drawings, and material specifications
- Familiarity with local and international standards and codes related to construction and quality assurance
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team on site
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting tools
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations in the construction industry (desired)
- Experience working in the Gulf region (desired)
- Arabic language skills (desired)
