- Test asphalt, concrete, and soil; maintain accurate, up‑to‑date test logs and material traceability.
- Monitor sampling, testing, and deliveries; verify mix designs, equipment calibration, and compliance with approvals and standards.
- Review and process contractor material and technical submittals (materials, method statements, ITPs, inspection requests); coordinate and perform site inspections to confirm compliance with specifications and approved materials.
- Identify, document, and track material non‑conformances; verify corrective actions and support audits, handover, and compliance reporting through complete quality records.
- Implement the project QMS and Quality Plans; ensure consistent QA/QC and HSE application across contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Coordinate and oversee subconsultants performing material testing; act as focal point for scheduling, controlling, and tracking construction materials and related equipment.
- Maintain project material records, office files, and daily diaries; prepare daily reports, quality updates, and other required documentation.
- Verify that delivered materials match approvals and are stored, handled, and protected correctly on site.
- Perform engineering calculations and assist in preparing graphs, charts, and quality control procedures and reports.
- Collect and file CoCs, MSDS, inspection tags, and other material documentation; provide technical guidance to junior staff and support job safety practices and reporting.
Requirements
- B.Sc. degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical specifications
- Thorough familiarity with construction processes and practices relevant to roads and infrastructure
- Preferably experienced working within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including dealing with local authorities for approvals
- Equivalency certificate (as applicable to Abu Dhabi/UAE regulations)

- Experience with quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations.
- Strong coordination and communication skills within multi disciplinary site teams.
- Experience within Construction Supervision environment is preferred.
- Strong awareness of health and safety; capable of recognizing hazardous conditions and initiating appropriate actions.
- Sound judgment, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Well‑organized, with strong documentation, reporting, and record‑keeping skills.
