Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved submittals and specifications.
  • Review material approval documents, test certificates, and supplier documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections for materials such as concrete, asphalt, steel, aggregates, and other construction materials.
  • Coordinate with laboratories for material testing (e.g., concrete cube tests, soil tests, asphalt tests).
  • Witness sampling and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials on-site to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Identify non-conforming materials and issue reports (NCRs) when required.
  • Maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation in accordance with project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Material Inspector in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and testing standards.
  • Familiarity with QCS and international standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO).
  • Experience working with approved laboratories and testing procedures.
  • Good reporting and documentation skills
