Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved submittals and specifications.
- Review material approval documents, test certificates, and supplier documentation.
- Conduct site inspections for materials such as concrete, asphalt, steel, aggregates, and other construction materials.
- Coordinate with laboratories for material testing (e.g., concrete cube tests, soil tests, asphalt tests).
- Witness sampling and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials on-site to prevent damage or contamination.
- Identify non-conforming materials and issue reports (NCRs) when required.
- Maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation in accordance with project requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Material Inspector in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and testing standards.
- Familiarity with QCS and international standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO).
- Experience working with approved laboratories and testing procedures.
- Good reporting and documentation skills
