- Review the Contractor's material submittals and obtain required approvals according to applicable standards and project specifications
- Serve as focal point for scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the job site
- Conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications
- Coordinate work of subconsultants for material testing
- Maintain office files related to the project, material inspections and write daily diaries
- Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract
- Verify that only approved materials are incorporated in the work
- Recognize potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials and report to supervisor with proposed solution
- Collect, review and file Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to materials used
- Participate in development of job safety practices and quality control reports
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Civil/Geology Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years in infrastructure projects
- At least 5 years in the UAE/GCC on roads, bridges, or tunnels
- Strong technical reporting, MS Office, basic AutoCAD, laboratory management, and stakeholder communication

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing
- Review the Contractor's material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications.
- Serves as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the job site
- Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
- Coordinates work of subconsultants for material testing

- May provide technical guidance to lower level

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- B.Sc. in Civil/ Geology Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years in infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC on roads, bridges, or tunnels.
