Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client consultations and health screenings
- Assess muscle tension, posture, movement restrictions, and recovery needs
- Develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide professional treatments including sports massage, deep tissue massage, recovery massage, pre event massage, post event massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretch therapy, muscle activation techniques, cupping therapy, IASTM, lymphatic drainage, and relaxation massage
- Assist athletes before competitions and provide post event recovery sessions
- Support injury prevention programs and educate clients on stretching techniques and recovery protocols
- Maintain accurate client records, treatment notes, and progress reports
- Prepare treatment rooms, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, and sterilize equipment
- Deliver exceptional client experience and build long term relationships
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Massage Therapy, Sports Massage, Physical Therapy Assistant, or related field
- Sports Massage Certification
- Massage Therapy License
- CPR & First Aid
- Minimum 2 years in sports massage or rehabilitation
- Excellent anatomy knowledge

Position Summary
- The Sports Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional sports massage therapy and recovery treatments to athletes, active individuals, and clients to enhance performance, prevent injuries, accelerate recovery, and improve overall musculoskeletal health. The therapist works closely with physiotherapists, fitness coaches, and medical professionals to deliver safe, evidence based treatments while maintaining the highest standards of client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client consultations and health screenings.
- Assess muscle tension, posture, movement restrictions, and recovery needs.
- Identify contraindications before treatment.
- Develop personalized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes.
- Provide professional treatments including: Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Recovery Massage, Pre Event Massage, Post Event Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Stretch Therapy, Muscle Activation Techniques, Cupping Therapy (if certified), Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) (if certified), Lymphatic Drainage (if qualified), Relaxation Massage when appropriate.
- Assist athletes before competitions.
- Provide post event recovery sessions.
- Support injury prevention programs.
- Improve flexibility and mobility.
- Reduce muscle fatigue.
- Monitor recovery progress.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Massage Therapy, Sports Massage, Physical Therapy Assistant, or related field.
- Certifications: Sports Massage Certification, Massage Therapy License, CPR & First Aid, Dry Needling (optional), Cupping Certification (preferred), IASTM Certification (preferred), Kinesiology Taping Certification (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in sports massage or rehabilitation. Experience with athletes preferred. Experience in sports clubs, clinics, gyms, wellness centers, or rehabilitation facilities.
- Skills: Excellent anatomy knowledge, Musculoskeletal assessment, Deep tissue techniques, Trigger point therapy, Sports recovery protocols, Communication skills, Professional ethics, Time management, Documentation, Team collaboration, Client education, Problem solving.

Pay
