Job Purpose
Monitor the day-to-day operations of vessels and act as the focal point between ships and the organization.
Monitor safety, certifications, and regulatory requirements to ensure company-owned vessels operate safely, efficiently, economically, and in compliance with statutory rules.
Inspections
- Monitor, arrange, and respond to SIRE and CDI inspections requested by the owner’s commercial department, as well as flag inspections.
- Visit vessels to assist with pre-vetting inspections and carry out other management-requested audits to identify potential risks in advance.
Port Agencies
- Participate in appointing port agencies and follow up with them to ensure timely disbursements and invoicing for owner’s husbandry matters.
Security
- Monitor ships and vessels transiting high-risk areas.
- Oversee alert testing and liaise with service providers to troubleshoot issues.
