About the Role

- Manage and plan all identification, interviewing technical assessment, and hiring activities for Engine Officers and Ratings
- Act as focal point for Engine recruitment services and competitor benchmarking
- Develop and maintain cost effective solutions to source Engine officers and ratings
- Work closely with Marine Personnel Operations for effective handover of Engine officers to vessels
- Maintain, review, and update personnel systems for contract authorizations and recruitment documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manning agencies and global skill pool managers
- Analyze Engine recruitment and attrition data to forecast manpower statistics and identify trends
- Monitor the entire Engine recruitment pipeline and implement process improvements
- Liaise with venues and administer event contracts for Engine induction courses and recruitment activities
- Manage and maintain all contracts related to Engine recruitment activities
- Monitor Engine recruitment related expenditure and identify cost saving opportunities
- Ensure all Engine recruitment processes comply with legal, tax, regulatory, and company requirements
Requirements
- STCW Regulation A III/2 Certificate of Competency (2nd Engineer license)
- Minimum 36 months sailing experience as an Engineer on board Gas or large oil tankers
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel
- Hands on experience with marine crewing and recruitment software systems
- Good understanding of Engineer officers’ certification, competency requirements, and regulatory considerations
- Marine engineering at management level
- Electrical, electronic and control engineering at management level
- Maintenance and repair at the management level

Job Summary and Purpose
- Drive the identification, interviewing technical assessment, and hiring of the highest quality candidates to the front line business, to ensure sufficient levels of suitability and experienced Engine Officers and Ratings to man the Fleet.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and plan all identification, interviewing technical assessment, and hiring activities for Engine Officers and Ratings.
- Act as a focal point for requirements relating to Engine recruitment services and competitor benchmarking.
- Develop and maintain cost effective solutions to source Engine officers and ratings outside of established recruitment partners where required.
- Work closely with Marine Personnel Operations to ensure effective and timely handover of Engine officers to vessels.
- Remain up to date with new regulations, legislation, and country specific restrictions impacting Engine crew recruitment and deployment.
- Maintain, review, and update personnel systems to ensure all contract authorizations and recruitment documentation are completed accurately.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manning agencies and global skill pool managers to support Engine manpower requirements.
- Analyze Engine recruitment and attrition data to forecast accurate manpower statistics and identify trends.
- Monitor the entire Engine recruitment pipeline, continuously reviewing, assessing, and streamlining processes.
- Liaise with venues and administer event contracts for Engine induction courses and recruitment related activities.
- Manage and maintain all contracts related to Engine recruitment activities.
- Monitor Engine recruitment related expenditure, identify cost saving opportunities.
Qualifications, Experience and Job Skills
- Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Regulation A III/2 Certificate of Competency (2nd Engineer license).
- A minimum of 36 months sailing experience as an Engineer on board Gas or large oil tankers.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Hands on experience with marine crewing and recruitment software systems.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Good understanding of Engineer officers’ certification, competency requirements, and regulatory considerations impacting recruitment and deployment.
