Responsibilities
- Work independently with assigned tasks under the guidance of the Resident Engineer
- Function as discipline Project Marine Engineer on small to medium projects, leading civil works in the marine area
- Monitor day to day marine construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, technical specifications, and environmental guidelines
- Oversee installation of marine materials such as concreting of sub structure works, sheet piling, and dredging operations
- Review Design Drawings, Shop Drawings, Method Statements, Inspection Test Plan and Project Risks
- Ensure compliance of marine and coastal design with all applicable codes and regulations
- Scope surveys, studies, and site investigations for marine and coastal developments
- Maintain affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to maintain construction schedules
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 10+ years of related work experience in marine structural and coastal engineering
- Ability to perform in a lead capacity
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of current marine and coastal engineering design standards and guidelines
- Experience with local approving authorities for marine and coastal works in GCC is an advantage

Job Description
- Marine Engineer (Creek Site) in Dubai, UAE.
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Marine Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Works independently with the assigned tasks under the guidance of the Resident Engineer.

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in (Civil/Structural) Engineering and 10+ years of related work experience in marine structural and coastal engineering.
- Ability to perform in a lead capacity, excellent English written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of current marine and coastal engineering design standards and guidelines.
- Experience with local approving authorities for marine and coastal works in GCC is an advantage.
