Marcom CEMEA covers localization, advertising, partner retail experience and communications, interactive and digital, video and motion graphics, and direct marketing.
Role overview
The Marcom Strategic Planner shapes market strategy across the customer journey and Apple-owned and partner touchpoints.
The role translates business, consumer, channel, and cultural insights into actionable briefs and local marketing initiatives.
Insight and opportunity identification
- Develop insights into Apple’s business, the consumer technology category, audiences, and their relationship with Apple products.
- Analyze consumer journeys across direct and indirect channels.
- Combine internal data, third-party sources, and primary or secondary research to identify market opportunities.
- Identify local growth opportunities and monitor business, political, consumer, and marketplace dynamics.
Strategic planning and creative development
- Lead the annual local marketing plan with Product Marketing and PR teams.
- Prioritize opportunities across Apple-owned and partner touchpoints as the scope of work for the coming year.
- Write actionable initiative and creative briefs for local campaigns.
- Guide partner agencies throughout creative development.
Strategic leadership
- Align Brand, Channel, Corporate Communications, Product Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Influence and inspire project teams and external partners without direct reporting lines.
- Develop strategic cases and frameworks that can be shared and scaled globally.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong analytical skills across sales, business, behavioral, and media data are preferred.
- Knowledge of the CEMEA digital, social, and commerce landscape is preferred.
- Leadership, collaboration, commercial, research, writing, visual storytelling, and presentation capabilities are preferred or emphasized.
- Knowledge of digital device sales channels and considerable experience living and working in CEMEA are preferred.
Minimum qualifications
- At least 12 years of strategic delivery experience in marketing, creative development, brand building, or business consulting.
- Track record leading strategic conversations with creatives, agency partners, and internal disciplines.
- Experience translating complex information into compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders.
- Proven relationship building, collaboration, and influence across functions.
- Business-level fluency in English for verbal and written communication.
