Role Description
The Managing Director is a part-time, remote leadership role overseeing the strategic direction, operational performance, and overall impact of SOS Children's Villages Egypt.
The role leads strategic planning, program implementation, budgeting, regulatory compliance, safeguarding, performance monitoring, and external representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and ensure alignment with SOS Children's Villages International standards.
- Supervise Family-Like Care, Youth Empowerment, and Families' Strengthening programs.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and organizational performance.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity requirements and other relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with teams, partners, donors, government entities, boards, and community stakeholders.
- Promote accountability and safeguarding and ensure child protection policies are applied consistently.
- Monitor key performance indicators and report to the board or governing bodies.
- Represent the organization in external forums, networks, and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and management skills in strategic planning, organizational oversight, and team leadership within nonprofit or social-sector organizations.
