Role Description
Part-time, remote Managing Director role responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of Oman Climate Week.
Leads program development, aligns activities with sustainability goals, and manages relationships with partners, sponsors, and participating organizations.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise cross-functional teams, monitor timelines and budgets, and review operational plans.
- Ensure communications and outreach promote the event and its impact.
- Evaluate risks, guide decision-making, report progress to the organizing committee, and foster an inclusive, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience overseeing complex projects or events and cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic planning, organizational, decision-making, communication, stakeholder management, time management, and self-direction skills.
- Experience in sustainability, climate policy, environmental initiatives, or large-scale international conferences is highly beneficial.
- Relevant academic background in business, public policy, environmental studies, or a related discipline is preferred.
