Role Description
The Business Development Director is a part-time, remote role supporting Oman Climate Week.
The role focuses on strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, institutional partners, and other stakeholders.
- Lead outreach to potential sponsors, exhibitors, and institutional partners.
- Create tailored proposals and oversee negotiation of commercial terms and contracts.
- Ensure partner satisfaction and long-term engagement.
- Coordinate with event management, marketing, and program teams on event objectives and timelines.
- Track performance against targets and report progress to leadership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated new business development and lead generation experience.
- Strong business planning capabilities.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation.
- Experience in account management.
- A background in climate, sustainability, events, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills in English.
- Ability to work independently remotely, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Additional languages are an advantage.
