KPMG's Tax Incentives Practice combines technical work with Canada's SR&ED program.
The role focuses on understanding complex software, systems, and multidisciplinary engineering work.
The successful candidate will work at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence, technical consulting, and SR&ED.
What you will do
- Lead SR&ED engagements for software, systems, and technology organizations.
- Document technological uncertainties, investigations, outcomes, and learnings with technical stakeholders.
- Review technical narratives for clarity around uncertainty, systematic investigation, and advancement.
- Coach team members on technical interviews, experimental work reconstruction, and documentation.
- Advise on complex work involving architecture, integrations, algorithms, data systems, and engineering challenges.
- Build relationships with CTOs, principal engineers, R&D leads, and other technical stakeholders.
- Stay current on SR&ED policy and emerging technical domains.
What you bring
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Hands-on experience building software with AI coding agents and tools beyond prompt writing.
