Role Overview
The Manager - Sourcing & Vendor Development role supports customized solutions and automation components for tightening applications.
The position combines supplier development, procurement, project management, and technical integration responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for PLCs, sensors, robotics, software, and other automation components.
- Negotiate contracts based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Oversee technical integration and safe, timely installations on the project shopfloor.
- Automate sourcing and procurement processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Manage project planning, implementation timelines, budgets, and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with Proposals, Project Management, Design, Sales, Marketing, EXIM, Logistics, and Finance teams.
- Ensure sourcing activities follow organizational processes and support informed team decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.E. or B.Tech. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 12–14 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, project management, and integration activities.
- Experience with special-purpose machines and automation solutions for tightening applications.
