Job Purpose
Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise risk management (ERM) across the organization.
Establish and embed a comprehensive risk management framework, including policies, processes, and methodologies, ensuring full integration with strategic planning and decision-making.
Functional Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework, aligned with international best practices.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization’s risk register, including classification (strategic, operational, financial, reputational).
- Direct risk assessment processes, including impact/probability analysis, prioritization, and mitigation planning.
- Develop and implement risk response strategies and business continuity plans.
- Promote a risk-aware culture through training, workshops, and awareness initiatives.
- Provide advisory and technical support to organizational units on identifying and mitigating risks across operations, projects, and programs.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit to identify emerging risks and assess effectiveness of controls.
- Lead crisis management and response to unforeseen events impacting business continuity.
- Oversee implementation of risk monitoring tools, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Analyze Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and provide recommendations to reduce exposure.
- Assess legal and regulatory risks, including insurance, contracts, and compliance obligations.
- Prepare and present performance and risk reports to senior leadership with actionable insights.
- Ensure alignment between risk mitigation plans and strategic/operational plans.
- Represent the function in internal and external meetings and committees.
- Contribute to innovation, corporate excellence, and future-readiness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with information security and data confidentiality policies.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Operational Responsibilities
- Deliver periodic and ad-hoc reports to leadership, highlighting risks, gaps, and improvement areas.
- Monitor performance against risk indicators, recommend corrective actions, and ensure business continuity with minimal disruption.
Financial Management
- Provide input for budgeting in line with governance frameworks.
- Monitor budget utilization and report variances with corrective recommendations.
People Management
- Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and capability development.
- Set objectives and conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and direction.
- Identify capability gaps and development needs.
- Guide team members on operational and people-related matters.
Stakeholder Management

- Semi-government, private sector, and relevant local/federal entities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Crisis/Disaster Management, or equivalent
Experience & Skills
- Minimum
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Strong expertise in enterprise risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Experience in managing high-impact programs and cross-functional coordination
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and strategic initiatives
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and emerging risks
- Ability to translate risk insights into strategic decision-making inputs
