About the Role
Descon is hiring an In-Charge QA/QC for a turnaround core team on DAS Island, UAE (ADNOC GAS). The role requires leading quality assurance and control during major oil & gas turnarounds.

Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance and quality control activities during critical turnaround execution
- Oversee welding inspection and repair procedures
- Review WPS/PQR and NDE procedures
- Develop and implement QA Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
- Review technical documents and work packs
- Coordinate with project teams and ensure compliance with quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of QA/QC experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Minimum 10 major Turnarounds in a QA/QC Lead or In Charge role
- ADNOC GAS turnaround experience will be a strong advantage
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or a relevant engineering discipline
- CSWIP 3.2 certification (Mandatory)
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
- API 510 & API 570/653 certifications will be an added advantage
- BGAS or NACE certification will be an added advantage
- Strong expertise in welding inspection and repair procedures, static equipment maintenance, WPS/PQR review, NDE procedures, QA Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), technical document and work pack review
- Demonstrated ability to lead QA/QC teams during large scale shutdowns with excellent coordination and communication skills
