What you will do
- Lead engagements and workstreams covering payments strategy, operating model transformation, platform modernization, integration, and implementation.
- Advise executives on payment capabilities, target operating models, modernization roadmaps, vendor choices, and implementation approaches.
- Direct delivery across requirements, functional design, integration, testing, migration, cutover, operational readiness, and stabilization.
- Guide teams on payment lifecycles, products, controls, message standards, interfaces, and platform dependencies.
- Manage scope, plans, teams, risks, issues, dependencies, quality, and engagement economics.
- Build senior stakeholder relationships and coordinate across vendors and partner teams.
- Coach consultants, review client outputs, and promote ownership and problem solving.
- Lead pursuits, proposals, solution shaping, expansion opportunities, reusable methods, and thought leadership.
Required qualifications
- 6 or more years of relevant experience with significant payments domain depth and leadership of complex consulting, transformation, or technology delivery engagements.
- Deep payments industry experience in banking, payment networks or providers, fintech, consulting, or payment technology.
- Business and technology expertise across the end-to-end payment lifecycle and operating model.
- Track record leading complex management or technology consulting engagements across the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Experience developing client executive relationships and influencing decisions across business and technology groups.
- Strong knowledge of one or more payment domains, including high-value, real-time, ACH or EFT, cross-border, commercial, card, wallet, or cash-management payments.
- Technology fluency across payment platforms, integration patterns, APIs, messaging, data flows, controls, and operational resilience.
- Strong team leadership, structured problem solving, facilitation, executive communication, and commercial judgment.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 20022, SWIFT, Payments Canada, Lynx, ACSS, RTR, Fedwire, SEPA, CHAPS, BACS, NACHA, or comparable payment schemes.
- Experience with payment hubs or engines, treasury management, payment orchestration, host-to-host connectivity, API-based banking, or cloud modernization.
- Experience with fraud, sanctions, AML, reconciliation, liquidity or settlement, operational resilience, or regulatory-driven change.
- Experience with vendor assessments, RFPs, platform selection, or large multi-vendor implementations.
- Relevant payments, treasury, architecture, project-management, or agile certification.
- French-English bilingual capability is an asset for client delivery in Quebec.
