About the Role
Yorkville University is looking for a Manager, IT Infrastructure to lead IT operations across eight sites, managing a team of two System Administrators. You will oversee Azure, cloud SaaS, networking, firewalls, Microsoft 365, and backup solutions.

Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of infrastructure projects including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments
- Design, implement, maintain, and manage IT infrastructure across multiple sites (on premise and cloud)
- Maintain high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of IT systems and networks
- Manage server operations, virtualization, storage solutions, and data center activities
- Enhance network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems
- Collaborate with IT Security team to ensure proper security measures for infrastructure deployments
- Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues (second and third level support)
- Oversee vendor relationships and contract management
- Support capital and operating budget planning for infrastructure initiatives
- Manage two system administrators, providing technical guidance and fostering knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Extensive experience in IT infrastructure operations including networking, cloud computing, and system administration
- Proficiency in Azure, networking technologies, Windows server management, storage solutions, and enterprise IT environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, ITIL, DevOps, and automation tools (PowerShell, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and foster collaborative culture
- Excellent communication and coaching abilities
- Experience managing vendors and project portfolio management
- Willingness to travel 2 3 times per year to Vancouver and Fredericton
- Flexibility to meet urgent needs and support infrastructure implementations

- Reporting to Director, IT Security & Infrastructure, the Manager, IT Infrastructure leads IT operations across eight sites, managing a team of two System Administrators.
As our new Manager, IT Infrastructure, you will:
- Lead implementation of infrastructure projects including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Design, implement, maintain, and manage IT infrastructure across multiple sites (on premise and cloud).
- Maintain high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of IT systems and networks.
- Manage server operations, virtualization, storage solutions, and data center activities.
- Enhance network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.

You have:

Compensation philosophy
- Minimum annual salary CAD 110,000, midpoint CAD 117,500, maximum CAD 125,000.
