Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements by working closely with stakeholders across operations, IT, and compliance
- Lead discovery and workflow mapping sessions to map current state processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
- Develop use cases, process diagrams, and supporting documentation
- Assess potential solutions, provide feedback on feasibility, and identify risks and priorities
- Develop test cases, coordinate testing activities, and ensure requirements are validated throughout implementation
- Assist in project delivery and vendor coordination, manage timelines, and communicate progress
Requirements
- Post secondary degree or diploma in business administration, information technology, or related field
- Relevant experience in business analysis or similar role, including gathering and translating business requirements, process mapping, and supporting system implementation or integration projects
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing demands
- Curiosity and logic to ask probing questions and translate needs into technical requirements
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate technical language for non technical audience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and Visio
- Familiarity with SQL is an asset
- Familiarity with CRMs, LMS, and ERP systems

Who we need
- We are looking for a Business Analyst, Technology and Operations to join our cross functional team.
- You will be the bridge between Technology and Operations and the business.
- This is an existing full time role, currently following a hybrid model working both on site at our Toronto office and remotely.
As our new Business Analyst, Technology and Operations, you will:
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Lead discovery and workflow mapping sessions.
- Make recommendations on potential solutions.
- Leverage user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support the project and vendor coordination.
You have:
- The education and experience: post secondary degree or diploma in business administration, information technology, or related field; relevant experience in business analysis.
- The consulting skills: curiosity and logic to ask probing questions and translate needs into technical requirements.
- The communication skills: exceptional communication skills and ability to translate technical language for non technical audience.
- The technical skills: proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and Visio; familiarity with SQL is an asset; familiarity with CRMs, LMS, and ERP systems.
Compensation philosophy
- This position offers a minimum annual salary of CAD 75,000, a midpoint of CAD 80,000, and a maximum of CAD 85,000.
- Established hires typically start near the midpoint.
