Manager - Health, Safety & Environment

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and best practices for regulatory compliance.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide strategic direction for HSE initiatives across projects and departments.
• Facilitate incident investigations, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Organize and deliver HSE training for employees and subcontractors.
• Maintain current knowledge of HSE regulations and emerging industry trends.
• Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Proven record of developing and implementing successful HSE programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

Certifications

• HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or ISO 14001 are highly desirable.
