Role Overview
The Manager, Fund Events supports the GWAM Canada business through operational leadership for initiatives affecting Canadian Wealth Operations.
This is an individual contributor role without direct reports or formal people-management responsibilities.
The role provides leadership through subject-matter expertise, project coordination, stakeholder management, and influence.
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate Canadian Operations projects and initiatives, including post-implementation support.
- Assess request scope, requirements, risks, financial impacts, accounting impacts, and downstream operational impacts.
- Coordinate project tasks with internal and external teams and communicate risks and impacts to leadership.
- Ensure fund system setups align with project requirements.
- Liaise with custodians and valuation agents regarding project requirements.
- Review operating models, develop workflows, and recommend implementation strategies.
- Document process improvement projects and apply best practices.
- Develop tools, practices, and controls to improve efficiency and information quality.
- Maintain relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
