Designation

Manager - Deal Advisory / Transaction Services (Financial Due Diligence) - Energy and Natural Resources.

The role supports transactions across energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and related industrial sectors.

Financial Due Diligence and Transaction Execution

  • Lead end-to-end financial due diligence engagements, including planning, scoping, data requests, analysis, reporting, and client presentations.
  • Analyse quality of earnings, normalized EBITDA, net debt, working capital, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
  • Evaluate historical performance, business trends, earnings sustainability, forecasts, business plans, and financial models.
  • Prepare client-ready reports and communicate transaction risks, valuation impacts, and practical recommendations.

Sector Expertise

  • Advise on transactions involving oil and gas, petrochemicals, mining and metals, power and utilities, renewables, energy transition, and related industrial assets.
  • Assess sector-specific value drivers, operating metrics, commercial structures, regulatory frameworks, and financial reporting considerations.
  • Evaluate project-based businesses, long-term contracts, commodity exposure, reserves, regulated businesses, and capital-intensive operating models.
  • Knowledge of energy transition, decarbonization, renewable energy markets, and emerging infrastructure themes is advantageous.

Project and Client Management

  • Manage concurrent engagements within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead engagement teams, allocate resources, manage client expectations, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor scope, budgets, billing, collections, profitability, risk management, independence, and quality-control requirements.
  • Escalate key risks and commercial matters to Directors and Partners.

Communication and Leadership

  • Lead client meetings, diligence sessions, data-request discussions, status calls, and report debriefs.
  • Present findings and deal considerations to management, investment teams, executives, boards, and investors.
  • Prepare and review clear, concise, and professional transaction deliverables.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members while fostering quality, accountability, collaboration, and development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in financial due diligence, transaction services, deal advisory, audit, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Experience managing due diligence engagements and leading teams in professional services.
  • Transaction experience in energy, natural resources, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and financial statement analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with private equity, sovereign wealth funds, infrastructure investors, corporates, or lenders is advantageous.
