About the Role

Responsibilities
- Manage resources through the development of operating and capital budgets, review of expenses and the development of action plans
- Provide leadership of people to foster an environment supportive of engagement, innovation, individual and team achievements and safe, quality care
- Recruit people, provide leadership and mentorship on individual leadership and development plans, and provide regular feedback
- Review Fraser Health workplace indicators and establish department objectives and action plans
- Provide leadership for quality care, identify risks and action plans in terms of clinical/department outcomes
- Interpret, apply and ensure operational and service contract plans meet accepted requirements
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical staff, other departments and stakeholders
- Participate in strategic planning, clinical services development and development of short and long term tactical plans
- Act as a resource to care teams and provide expert consultative advice
- Act as an advocate for patients/residents/clients and families
Requirements
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in health sciences or related field
- Seven (7) years' recent related experience, including two (2) years in a leadership role
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability in related clinical health care practice, education and program planning
- Ability to plan, prioritize and carry out projects
- Knowledge of budget planning and preparation principles
- Demonstrated ability to provide progressive and innovative approaches to service delivery
- Knowledge of research methodology, practices and techniques
- Excellent investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Information Systems applications, tools and concepts
