Role Overview
This role supports a Health Information Exchange project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a strategic technical and business advisor.
The consultant will support implementation, integration, and optimization of healthcare solutions aligned with NPHIES standards and regulatory frameworks.
The role combines business acumen with technical expertise across healthcare interoperability, system architecture, and business operations.
The contract is a four-month fixed-term engagement, with possible extension through the end of 2027.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The position is based onsite in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on FHIR, HL7, healthcare interoperability, and NPHIES integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess goals, challenges, and technical requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend interoperability, data exchange, and financial workflow solutions.
- Design and review FHIR-based architectures and NPHIES-compliant integrations.
- Recommend integration strategies for HIS, HIE, payer, and provider platforms.
- Improve healthcare operations, data quality, accessibility, and financial health services.
- Recommend secure and scalable cloud, API, microservices, and data management technologies.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and Delivery teams on solution reviews and releases.
- Provide NPHIES subject matter expertise, training, documentation, workshops, and knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science is required.
- 8–10 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in HealthTech, is required.
- Experience with healthcare IT systems such as HIE, HIS, and payer-provider platforms is required.
- Strong knowledge of FHIR, HL7, healthcare interoperability, SQL, software development, and system integration is required.
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle and Payors is required.
- Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, project management, and delivery oversight is required.
- Fluency in English and mandatory Arabic language ability are required.
- Familiarity with NPHIES is advantageous.
