Job Summary

  • To lead all Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, and related Tax coordination activities for TAQA Generation, which operates as an investment holding platform for a geographically diverse portfolio of power generation and water desalination projects.

General Responsibilities

  • Implement the divisional strategy in line with business vision, mission, and corporate objectives.
  • Ensure business strategy is translated into annual operational business plans and performance is monitored.
  • Implement divisional policy, systems, processes, procedures and controls.
  • Ensure all divisional reports are completed timely and comply with business policies and standards.
  • Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee financial accounting activities across all Generation entities.
  • Own and manage the monthly reporting and close calendar across all entities.
  • Review and monitor accounting records and financial outputs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Define and enforce consistent application of accounting treatments.
  • Act as key point of contact for technical accounting matters.
  • Oversee and validate preparation of periodic financial statements and reporting packs.
  • Ensure all reporting complies with IFRS, Group reporting instructions, and statutory requirements.
  • Review and challenge financial results, analyze key movements and variances.
  • Manage and maintain group level adjustments, eliminations, intercompany balances, and reconciliations.
  • Manage all accounting, reporting, and statutory affairs of Generation’s investment holding entities.
  • Coordinate tax related matters for holding companies.
  • Lead accounting and tax due diligence for new projects, acquisitions, and investments.

People Management Responsibilities

  • Model continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Execute talent development initiatives focused on skill enhancement and career progression.
  • Champion the organization’s values within the dispersed team.
  • Empower the dispersed team to make informed decisions and ensure clear communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
  • 8 years of relevant working experience in financial reporting or related field
