About the Role
TAQA Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial accounting, reporting, and tax coordination for its Generation division. The role requires 8 years of experience in financial reporting, IFRS knowledge, and strong leadership to oversee a diverse portfolio of power and water projects.

Responsibilities
- Own and oversee financial accounting activities across all Generation entities, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close
- Manage the monthly reporting and close calendar to ensure timely closing in line with Group timelines
- Review and monitor accounting records and financial outputs for accuracy and compliance with IFRS and TAQA policies
- Oversee and validate preparation of periodic financial statements and reporting packs
- Manage intercompany transactions, balances, and reconciliations
- Coordinate tax reporting and compliance activities with Group Tax and local advisors
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits across Generation entities
- Ensure robust internal control environment over financial reporting
- Drive consistent implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Lead accounting workstream for financial integration of new projects and acquisitions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
- 8 years of relevant working experience in financial reporting or related field
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems
- Proven leadership and team management skills

Job Summary
- To lead all Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, and related Tax coordination activities for TAQA Generation, which operates as an investment holding platform for a geographically diverse portfolio of power generation and water desalination projects.
General Responsibilities
- Implement the divisional strategy in line with business vision, mission, and corporate objectives.
- Ensure business strategy is translated into annual operational business plans and performance is monitored.
- Implement divisional policy, systems, processes, procedures and controls.
- Ensure all divisional reports are completed timely and comply with business policies and standards.
- Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Own and oversee financial accounting activities across all Generation entities.
- Own and manage the monthly reporting and close calendar across all entities.
- Review and monitor accounting records and financial outputs for accuracy and compliance.
- Define and enforce consistent application of accounting treatments.
- Act as key point of contact for technical accounting matters.
- Oversee and validate preparation of periodic financial statements and reporting packs.
- Ensure all reporting complies with IFRS, Group reporting instructions, and statutory requirements.
- Review and challenge financial results, analyze key movements and variances.
- Manage and maintain group level adjustments, eliminations, intercompany balances, and reconciliations.
- Manage all accounting, reporting, and statutory affairs of Generation’s investment holding entities.
- Coordinate tax related matters for holding companies.
- Lead accounting and tax due diligence for new projects, acquisitions, and investments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
