The Major Projects Project Manager manages projects sold by Modernfold Sales as managed by Modernfold. These projects will include Modernfold-owned and distributor-owned contracts. The Project Manager will interface with all areas within Modernfold and customers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain project schedules and milestone reporting.
Manage installation team’s schedule with input from the Installation Supervisor.
Lead Major Project weekly review meetings.
Serve as administrator for the Major Projects Documents on SharePoint site on MITCH.
Review and approve invoices, e.g., subcontractor invoices, rental equipment, freight.
Submit monthly progress reports to Finance with percentages of completion.
Coordinate long lead time materials with the factory and purchasing.
Maintain documentation for Major Projects to ensure ISO compliance and participate in ISO audits.
Maintain Major Projects Timeline spreadsheet on Major Projects Documents SharePoint site.
Maintain the Panel Installation Equipment Inventory spreadsheet on SharePoint.
Maintain Master Change Order log on Major Projects Documents SharePoint site.
Maintain Installation Team Safety Manual and coordinate updates with HSE Manager.
Track Installation Team training and certifications to ensure all are current.
Prepare quotes for distributors to provide installation supervision assistance using template from Finance.
Communication is key. There is no such thing as over communication! Keep in constant contact with internal teams, installation team, and GCs. Keep Engineering and Purchasing Director apprised of urgent or critical situations.
Other duties as assigned by the Engineering and Purchasing Director.
Pre-award of Major Project:
Adhere to documented ISO processes, e.g., ensure STO and ETO meetings are held.
Review sales contract before (if requested) and after project award and note special items.
After award of Major Project:
Ensure project is added to Field Backlog.
After turnover meeting, set up introduction with GC and in-person pre-con meeting.
Send project submittals to GC for approval (shops approval required prior to starting work).
Review construction schedules regularly and coordinate changes in schedule with all affected departments.

Process LEED reports to fulfill any LEED requirements listed in the sales contract.
Coordinate development of punch list.
Coordinate fix of pre-punch and punch list items. Engage plant assistance or subcontractors as needed.
Attend on-site and Teams meetings as required.
Project close-out:
Send close-out documentation to GC (or upload to their project management software), including field and file drawings.
Organize and attend on-site owner’s training and invite local distributor. Arrange for videographer if sales contract requires.
Obtain completed project sign-off sheet from GC and file in project’s SharePoint folder.
