What You'll Do
As Maintenance Supervisor at Ansel, you'll lead the property's maintenance operation — overseeing a team of technicians, managing the day-to-day physical condition of the building, and ensuring residents receive prompt, professional service. You'll report to and work closely with the General Manager to:
• Supervise, schedule, and mentor the maintenance team, assigning work orders and holding techs accountable for quality and timeliness
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and mechanical systems, and maintain accurate service records
• Manage the apartment turn process end-to-end, ensuring units are move-in ready on schedule and to a high standard of finish
• Diagnose and resolve complex facilities issues, escalating to vendors or contractors when needed and managing that work through completion
• Own the on-call/emergency maintenance rotation, including responding personally to major issues after hours
• Manage the maintenance budget, inventory, and shop organization, including parts ordering and vendor relationships
• Conduct regular property inspections (common areas, amenities, curb appeal, life safety systems) and drive corrective action
• Partner with the General Manager on capital projects, unit renovations, and vendor bids
• Train and develop technicians on safety protocols, systems knowledge, and customer service standards
• Communicate proactively with the onsite team and ownership on property condition, safety concerns, and project status
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in residential, hotel, or multifamily settings, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong working knowledge of building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and life safety systems
• Experience in luxury or high-end residential environments strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead, schedule, and develop a maintenance team
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset when interfacing with residents and ownership
• Strong organizational skills — able to manage budgets, inventory, and multiple work streams simultaneously
• EPA Certification and/or relevant trade licenses (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) required or strongly preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and be on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to participate in and lead an on-call rotation and respond to property emergencies
Compensation & Perks

- Tool allowance + uniform provided
- Full benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k match)
- Lead maintenance operations at a landmark luxury project in the heart of San Francisco
- Growth opportunities within a high-performing, multi-property team
