Job Overview
- The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the maintenance function across the plant, ensuring all critical equipment, production related equipment, and supporting assets are maintained safely and effectively.
- The role includes implementing and updating preventive maintenance programs, managing breakdowns, overseeing maintenance staff, ensuring availability of critical spare parts, and coordinating with Production and QC departments.
- The role requires both hands on technical involvement and administrative management, supervising a large team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are implemented for all plant critical equipment.
- Update preventive maintenance plans based on equipment history, supplier recommendations, and equipment performance.
- Coordinate with the Production Head and QC Head for maintenance of equipment related to Production and QC departments.
- Ensure equipment can be operated safely and effectively.
- Define and maintain minimum stock levels of spare parts for all critical equipment before breakdowns occur.
- Attend project planning and management review meetings.
- Ensure logistics related assets, such as vehicles and forklifts, are in good working condition.
- Support, develop, and initiate improved maintenance systems, procedures, and policies.
- Assist maintenance staff in performing maintenance, repairs, renovations, and operations of buildings, equipment, and systems.
- Diagnose malfunctions and determine repair, service, and maintenance requirements.
- Monitor maintenance staff performance and provide direction and support.
- Organize, manage, and track maintenance progress and costs in line with production and scheduling requirements.
