Job Purpose
The Maintenance Manager plans, manages, and supervises infrastructure operation and maintenance activities.
The role ensures infrastructure assets are safe, reliable, well-maintained, and compliant with quality and technical standards.
Covered infrastructure includes roads, bridges, tunnels, drainage systems, flood channels, and other urban infrastructure.
Maintenance Planning and Supervision
- Manage and supervise infrastructure operation and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance plans.
- Prepare annual and long-term maintenance plans and programs.
- Supervise maintenance works for roads, bridges, tunnels, drainage systems, flood channels, and other urban infrastructure.
- Monitor infrastructure asset condition and performance.
Technical and Stakeholder Management
- Review maintenance methods, technical reports, work plans, and engineering documents.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders.
- Ensure maintenance works meet approved standards, specifications, quality requirements, and schedules.
- Monitor progress, costs, resources, and performance.
- Identify technical and operational risks and recommend solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering and maintenance teams.
Compliance and Reporting
- Monitor contractors and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Prepare progress reports, maintenance plans, and management reports.
- Support infrastructure asset management and development programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency, reliability, and service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 13 years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering, operation, maintenance, or project management.
- Strong experience in infrastructure operation and maintenance.
- Experience with roads, bridges, tunnels, drainage systems, flood channels, and urban infrastructure.
- A master's degree or relevant professional qualification is advantageous.
- Experience with reputable engineering or consultancy firms is preferred.
- Experience in infrastructure asset management is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a managerial or senior engineering position is preferred.
