Responsibilities
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical room equipment
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radio)
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment and utility shut offs for buildings
- Maintain maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as needed
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
- Demonstrate basic knowledge in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building management
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and woodwork repairs, replacement of light bulbs and air conditioner filters
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components
- Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED; vocational or technical training preferred
- Related work experience: Experience in general maintenance, interior and exterior surface preparation and painting
- Hotel engineering/maintenance experience is a plus
- Supervisory experience: None required
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
