About the Role
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts seeks a Maintenance Technician to respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and machinery. The role requires basic knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and machinery, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radio).
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment and utility disconnects for buildings.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and woodwork repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guest room items.
- Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.
- Use Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or vocational/technical training preferred
- Experience in general maintenance, interior/exterior surface preparation and painting
- Hotel engineering/maintenance experience valued
- Valid driver's license

- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and woodwork repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleaning of paint or repair areas.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guest room items.
- Program televisions and perform general maintenance and inventory tasks related to engineering.
Qualifications Recommandées / Desired Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or vocational/technical training preferred.
- Related work experience: Experience in general maintenance, interior/exterior surface preparation and painting.
- Hotel engineering/maintenance experience valued.
- Supervisory experience: None required.
