Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6:00AM-2:30PM) Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary. This position may provide training to lower-level machinists.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $24/hr. - $35/hr. Overtime may be mandatory as needed. (Base pay to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)
What you will do
- Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating instructions
- Operate machine(s) safely and communicate any problems which arise to the supervisor/lead person
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and make adjustments as necessary
- Monitor, maintain, weigh, and safely add chemicals as required
- Perform minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of the equipment
What we require
High school diploma or equivalent
Extensive experience operating and setting up machines, performing tool changes, etc.
Ability to perform advanced quality inspections and read/interpret blueprints
Professional communication skills
