Primary Purpose
Carry out highly skilled lubrication activities for rotary equipment at QatarEnergy refinery and chemical plant locations, Berth 4 and 6, BSV3, Station C1, and Hamad International Airport.
Perform preventive and corrective lubrication work in refinery and operating areas.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive instructions from senior or mechanical engineers and obtain reserved materials, tools, and spare parts from stores.
- Check and fill lube oil and grease in bearing housings, oil consoles, crankcases, and related equipment.
- Replace and clean lube oil systems, filters, lube oil sight glasses, and hydraulic oil filters.
- Maintain auto-greasing and drip-feeding systems.
- Report daily lubrication activities and monitor abnormalities for supervisor escalation.
- Handle and store lubricants properly.
- Raise corrective work orders or sub-work orders for lubrication problems with the supervisor and maintenance planning.
- Request oil analysis from the asset integrity team when required.
- Monitor and analyze heavy lubricants such as grease.
Education and Experience
- Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Technology from a recognized institution.
- At least five years of experience as a rotating equipment lubrication technician.
