Job Brief
- The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the seamless and efficient operation of all logistics and supply chain processes.
- This role is critical to ensuring a seamless customer experience and driving profitability through an efficient, cost effective supply chain.
- The specialist will manage the entire logistics lifecycle, from procurement of services to final delivery, encompassing warehousing, fleet management, and port operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously align with suppliers to get insight into the readiness date and ensure to get all supporting documents.
- Lead negotiations with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and courier companies to secure favorable terms.
- Continuously analyze logistics costs to identify and implement cost saving opportunities.
- Review and verify all shipping and logistics related invoices for accuracy before submitting them to the finance department.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, generate performance reports, and provide insights for strategic decision making.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving all logistical issues.
- Ensure all logistics operations comply with local and international regulations.
- Monitor and enhance logistics processes to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with vendors and couriers to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all shipments, customs clearance, and carrier agreements.
