- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and provide feedback on expected delays
- Prepare schedules and coordinate with suppliers/logistics service providers for delivery
- Implement contingency plans for delays to avoid disruption of operations
- Ensure readiness of document packs for cross border shipping
- Arrange and submit relevant documentation required by local authorities for clearance
- Maintain documents such as Purchase Order, Bill of entry, Shipping bill, etc.
- Create inbound delivery in SAP
- Coordinate with internal customers to ensure logistics objectives are met
- Liaise with finance to clear financial modalities and ensure vendor payments
- Monitor on time and safe delivery of goods and set action plans for challenges
- Update files and systems accurately for information availability
- Enter information into system for purchase order generation and obtain approvals
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Logistics and distribution or equivalent
- 8 10 years experience in logistics, supply chain, or materials management
- Fundamental understanding of SAP system
- Good knowledge of local and international transportation
- Excellent knowledge of customs clearing process and procedures in GCC countries
- Knowledge of law/regulations and contracts
- Understanding of documentation process
- Planning and organizing skills
- Excellent ability to develop relationships with vendors/ports/customs
- Excellent attention to detail

Job Purpose
- To coordinate and expedite the flow of materials from suppliers ensuring complete documentation and transportation up to place of delivery, in a timely, efficient and cost optimized manner leading to internal customer satisfaction.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
