Role Overview
- The Maintenance Manager will lead the plant maintenance function, ensuring the effective inspection, monitoring, and repair of all assets and facilities.
- The role is critical in maintaining optimal plant integrity and reliability in line with contractual requirements, NOMAC guidelines, and HSSE standards.
- Ensures uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the maintenance department strategy aligned with overall plant objectives.
- Provide regular updates to the Plant General Manager on operational performance, challenges, and mitigation actions.
- Lead, develop, and manage the maintenance team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Drive performance, engagement, and continuous development through structured feedback.
- Support the preparation of the maintenance budget and monitor financial performance.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and condition based maintenance plans across Electrical, Mechanical, and I&C disciplines.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards and cost effective execution of maintenance activities.
- Translate maintenance strategies into SOPs and work instructions and ensure implementation.
- Ensure effective execution of maintenance plans in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
- Lead equipment risk assessments and ensure proactive mitigation of potential failures.
- Manage emergency breakdown responses to minimize downtime and operational risks.
- Ensure accurate maintenance documentation in SAP, including fault logs, repair methods, and resource utilization.
Additional Responsibilities
- Plan and execute annual outages in coordination with planning teams and OEM recommendations.
- Ensure availability of manpower, materials, and spares for smooth execution within scope, cost, and timeline.
- Provide expert technical guidance on maintenance procedures and improvements.
- Promote a condition based maintenance culture through root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Deliver sustainable solutions to recurring technical challenges.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and materials through effective inventory management.
- Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with scope, quality, and HSSE standards.
- Ensure full compliance with HSSE policies and procedures.
- Manage incident reporting and response in line with established protocols.
- Promote a strong safety culture across employees and contractors.
- Implement Integrated Management System requirements and support audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function.
