Job Summary

  • The Logistics Operation Director is responsible for leading the overall logistics and supply chain operations across the organization.
  • This strategic role ensures the design, implementation, and optimization of logistics processes to achieve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support business growth.
  • The director oversees multi functional teams, drives continuous improvement, and reports to senior executive management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Team Management: Lead multi site logistics and supply chain teams, set strategic goals, KPIs, and performance standards, mentor and develop leadership capabilities, drive a culture of operational excellence and accountability, oversee design and approval of logistics strategie
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Strategy: Optimize end to end supply chain operations, oversee key initiatives including inventory management, transportation, and distribution, identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring & Risk Management: Establish performance metrics and monitor operational KPIs, conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies, ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, provide senior management with insights.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers, carriers, and logistics providers, represent the organization in high level negotiations, oversee review and analysis of logistics performance, guide continuous improvement initiatives, approve technology and process strategies
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders: senior management, procurement, and project teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10–12 years in logistics, supply chain management, or operations leadership.
  • Proven experience in leading multi functional and multi site teams.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and operational improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Advanced certifications in supply chain, operations management, or logistics are a plus.
  • Strong strategic leadership and team development skills.
  • Analytical and decision making capabilities for complex logistics challenges.
  • Negotiation and relationship building skills with suppliers and partners.
  • Ability to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and change management.
