Work Purpose

Plan, coordinate, and monitor all logistics activities related to the transportation, delivery, and clearance of project materials, equipment, and tools, ensuring timely availability at site within a live refinery environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for all project materials and equipment
  • Arrange transportation (land, sea, air) from vendors to site
  • Manage customs clearance and documentation for imported materials
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and clearing agents
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery aligned with project schedule
  • Coordinate with procurement and material teams for delivery priorities
  • Ensure accurate logistics documentation (delivery notes, invoices, packing lists, gate passes)
  • Monitor logistics costs and support optimization of transportation efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and refinery access procedures
  • Handle site entry coordination for delivery vehicles (permits, gate passes)
  • Support expediting of critical materials
  • Coordinate heavy and oversized cargo movements when required
  • Maintain logistics tracking reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders

Required Competences

  • Strong knowledge of transportation and fleet coordination
  • Solid understanding of customs clearance procedures in Saudi Arabia
  • Experience with freight forwarding operations
  • Familiarity with refinery/shutdown logistics environments
  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure shutdown/project environments
  • Transferable Iqama

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of logistics experience in Oil & Gas / refinery projects in KSA
  • Experience in Aramco, SABIC, or SASREF projects preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP / ERP logistics modules is an advantage
  • Experience in shutdown/turnaround logistics strongly preferred
  • Understanding of hazardous material transportation regulations
  • Valid Saudi driving license (preferred)
