Job Purpose

Supervise and manage all field construction activities related to compressor installation and associated civil, piping, and electrical works within a live brownfield refinery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site execution and coordinate workfront activities
  • Manage multidisciplinary construction teams (Mechanical, Piping, E&I, Civil)
  • Lead shutdown execution with capability to manage 24-hour shift operations
  • Ensure compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, and SABIC standards
  • Supervise mechanical installation, piping tie-ins, and rigging operations
  • Coordinate SIMOPS activities within a live refinery environment (Unit B operational)
  • Monitor contractor manpower deployment and productivity performance
  • Drive mechanical completion and ensure smooth turnover to commissioning
  • Coordinate and supervise heavy lifting operations (e.g., 150T crane, compressor skids)

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of construction experience, including 10+ years in KSA oil & gas sector
  • Minimum 8 years in refinery construction management within brownfield environments
  • Direct experience with SABIC / Aramco refinery operators or EPC contractors
  • Proven experience in shutdown / turnaround execution in live refinery environments
  • Valid PTW, SIMOPS, and H2S safety certifications
  • Strong experience in mechanical installation and heavy rigging supervision
  • Transferable Iqama

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in SASREF projects
  • Exposure to reciprocating compressor installation
  • NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification
