General Summary
Provide guidance in international shipping and customs compliance for global aftermarket operations.
Coordinate international shipments, domestic truckloads, oversized freight, and supply chain activities from procurement through last-mile delivery.
Coordinate imports from and exports to suppliers and factories across Asia, Europe, India, the Middle East, the United States, Australia, Singapore, China, and Poland.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate global shipping SOPs and coordinate outgoing customer shipments through external transportation lines.
- Follow up with customers for shipment release authorizations and final shipping arrangements.
- Request and verify freight quotations, determine shipment methods, and work with forwarders.
- Create bills of lading and complete required international and cross-border shipment paperwork.
- Reconcile open orders and conduct daily physical walkthroughs to ensure scheduled shipments leave the facility.
- Maintain export compliance, prepare export clearances, and review export license requirements.
- Prepare reports, charts, graphs, records, and control documents for logistics measurements and planning systems.
- Determine and apply Harmonized Tariff Classification to items imported or exported from aftermarket locations.
- Audit brokerage invoices, obtain required documents, and maintain brokerage records.
- Organize truckload and oversized freight and participate in approved carrier selection.
- Coordinate freight payments, resolve logistics issues, and manage freight claims with carriers.
Skills
- Apply HTSUS and global classification rules and Free Trade Agreement regulations.
- Understand international import and export requirements, transportation, logistics, and freight movement.
- Coordinate and track supply chain operations with manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and retailers.
- Maintain organized warehouse and order records and resolve shipping and inventory issues.
- Plan and track final shipments, including costs and timelines, according to customer requests.
- Use IT logistics tools to monitor and optimize shipping procedures and prepare accurate management reports.
- Analyze logistics data and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Follow and enforce safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
Required Education and Experience
- US Customs Brokerage License.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics and supply chain management, business administration, or business analytics.
- At least five years of proven expertise as a logistics coordinator, supply chain manager, or customer service manager.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards and logistics-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with ERP and logistics software.

- The role is performed in a normal office environment with occasional standing and walking and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
