Role Overview
The Logistics Specialist supports shipping and receiving activities within the Supply Chain department.
The role prepares documentation, maintains records, and coordinates product and spare-part shipments with factories.
Key Duties
- Coordinate domestic and international freight forwarders, carriers, shipping schedules, volumes, and priorities.
- Maintain compliant shipping records, prepare paperwork, complete system transactions, and provide shipment tracking information.
- Process customer RMAs, review orders, create pick worksheets, generate shipping documents, and complete customer invoicing.
- Shop freight rates, audit freight bills, and resolve billing questions with external freight payment services.
- Maintain import/export regulatory knowledge, update procedures, participate in transportation projects, and lead corrective actions for shipping issues.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, negotiate, influence others, and work within a globally dispersed team.
